Gee-Gees Volleyball Extend Their Road Record
To 4-0 With A Dominant Win Over Windsor

Gee-Gees Volleyball is looking more and more comfortable on the road as they go 4-0 away from home this season with a 3-0 win over the University of Windsor this past weekend.

After the match Coach Woods seemed pleased with his team’s focus,“I wasn’t sure how we would come out after a long, tough match against Western last night, but I must say, I am proud of our team’s commitment to a full weekend with this win today. Windsor is a tough gym to play in, it is huge and open (very different than back home), but our kids were patient early on and showed their experience when it come time to close out each game.”

The Gees made fairly short work of the Windsor Lancers with scores of 25-21, 25-13, and 25-16 in a one hour match.

This match marked the first start for rookie Melissa Maddocks (from Chatham, Ontario) and she contributed big with 5 kills, 5 digs and an ace in two games played.

With this win the Gees move to a 4-2 regular season record and sit tied for 2nd with divisional rivals York Yoewomen.
