Gees Get Second Win Of The Weekend & A Share of 2nd Place In OUA East

Ottawa remains undefeated at home in league play with a 3-0 win over Brock. With the victory, Ottawa is now tied with Queen’s for second in the OUA East Division.

Ottawa continued their strong play from the match yesterday and quickly jumped to a 8-1 lead in the first set. The Gees then played solid side-out volleyball to win the set 25-16 in 20 minutes.

Brock’s offence stepped up and challenged the Gees in the final two sets but Ottawa’s defence fought off the challenge and they won the the second and third sets 25-20 and 25-21 respectively.

“I am very pleased with the two victories this weekend. Everyone is contributing and working hard to give this team the best opportunity in the playoffs.” Coach Lionel Woods said after the match.
