Gee-Gees Volleyball Make It Two In A
Row To Start The Season
The
Gees move to 2-0 with a second consecutive 3-0 (25-15, 25-15,
26-24) win over Lakehead University. Ottawa continued to use their
depth and for the second
straight night, all 14 players entered the match and made contributions
to the win.
The
Gees continue to develop their offence while building team chemistry.
The match also marked the debut of Ottawa native Rachel Runnels,
who with three other rookies, adds new athletism and energy to
the team.
"The
match was a bit slower today in terms of energy. I think the players
were really energized to start the season yesterday and today
was just a bit off. We will take the win and get ready for two
more matches next week. Head coach Lionel Woods said after
the match.
Ottawa
travels to Kitchener-Waterloo next week for macthes against Waterloo
(Saturday, Nov. 8 - 2:00 pm) and Sir Wilfred Laurier University
(Sunday, Nov. 9 - 2:00 pm).
The
Gee-Gees next home game will be Satruday Nov. 15, 2003 versus
Queens at
6:30 pm.
