POST GAME PRESS RELEASE - Brock Badgers (October 23rd, 2004)
Ottawa Starts Season With 3-0 Win Over Brock Badgers

Ottawa opened its league season with an impressive 3-0 (25-12, 25-14, 25-20) win over the visiting Brock Badgers.

This year’s edition of the Gee-Gees spent the pre-season preparing by touring the country and playing teams from every conference in the CIS. That early season training against top ten teams showed as the Gees came out swinging aggressively to start their OUA competition.

This match was also the debut for #2 Chloe Saint-Denis, # 3 Kirsten Brouse, #6 Jill Herman, #13 Marie-Josée Robichaud, #14 Marie Prentice and #15 Véronique Yeon.

“The year’s team is young and we are simply concentrating on building a solid foundation for the season. We are going to have some bumps along the way but our pre-season schedule has really brought our team together and given us a good understanding of what we have to do to be successful. I am very pleased with our start, we can enjoy it today and then tomorrow, we get ready for our next match.” Coach Lionel Woods commented after the match.

Ottawa will travel to Kitchner/Waterloo next weekend to play OUA West Division rivals, Sir Wilfred Laurier and Waterloo.
