Ottawa
Stays Perfect At Home With 3-0 Win Over Queen’s
Obviously
Ottawa loves playing at home as they extended their home winning
to three in as many chances. After a tough weekend away, Ottawa
retuned home to another big
weekend crowd as they hosted Eastern Ontario rivals, the Queen’s
Golden Gaels.
Each
set was a back and forth battle, but as each set wound down, the
Gee’s stepped up to claim the win. Ottawa won the match
25-21, 26-24, 25-21.
“This
was a great win for us! Not because of the score but because of
our execution. Everyone who stepped on the court did their job
and no matter what happened the players didn’t let things
get out of control. They stayed focused and kept pushing for the
win. This defintiely showed me the character that is continuing
to build within our team.” Coach Lionel Woods said after
the win.
With
the win, Ottawa remains two points behind second place Toronto
in the OUA East Division with one game in hand. Tomorrow, Ottawa
hosts OUA’s newest team, RMC, November 28 at 2:00 pm.
