Drops A Tight One To Western (2-3)
But Looks Good Heading To The Playoffs
Ottawa
loses in the fifth set, 16-18, to fall to the University of Western
Ontario 2-3. The match provided a preview of the OUA playoffs
as both teams have secured births and could face each other again
in the final four.
The
match was literally decided by one point, the total match points
was Ottawa : 104; UWO: 105. The scores of today's match were:
15-25, 25-18, 25-19, 23-25, 16-18.
Ottawa
is now two points behind the University of Toronto, and will travel
to play them next weekend to decide the final seedings for the
playoffs. Ottawa plays Toronto February 12 and then Queen’s
on Sunday, February 13.
