Wins 5th In Row On The Way To A
Tie For 2nd Place In The OUA East
Ottawa,
playing their fourth match in eight days, defeats the University
of Windsor 3-1 (28-26, 25-14, 23-25, 25-16) and are now tied for
2nd place in the OUA East Division. The win is also the fifth
in a row for the Gees. During the winning streak, Ottawa has only
dropped one set.
Ottawa
was led by 5th year setter and player of the game, Ellen Barwise,
who
contributed 8 kills along with 4 aces, 9 digs and 46 assists.
“Every
game is a playoff game for this team. The players and staff are
only focused on one game at a time. We can’t control anything
outside of our team and our side of the net, so why worry about
the other games?” Head Coach Lionel Woods said after the
match.
Ottawa
will host the University of Western Ontario (ranked # 1 in Ontario)
tomorrow, Sunday, February 6, at 2:00 pm.
