Ottawa Wins 5th In Row On The Way To A
Tie For 2nd Place In The OUA East

Ottawa, playing their fourth match in eight days, defeats the University of Windsor 3-1 (28-26, 25-14, 23-25, 25-16) and are now tied for 2nd place in the OUA East Division. The win is also the fifth in a row for the Gees. During the winning streak, Ottawa has only dropped one set.

Ottawa was led by 5th year setter and player of the game, Ellen Barwise, who
contributed 8 kills along with 4 aces, 9 digs and 46 assists.

“Every game is a playoff game for this team. The players and staff are only focused on one game at a time. We can’t control anything outside of our team and our side of the net, so why worry about the other games?” Head Coach Lionel Woods said after the match.

Ottawa will host the University of Western Ontario (ranked # 1 in Ontario) tomorrow, Sunday, February 6, at 2:00 pm.
