Gees come back to play after a 14 day layoff with
an impressive
3-1
win over McMaster to jump back into 2nd place in the OUA East
The
Gee-Gees continued their home winning streak with a 3-1 win over
OUA West Division opponents, McMaster Marauders (25-18, 25-17,
22-25, 25-11).
The
Gees’ win came after a long two week bye and was an important
test, as the Marauders came into the match second in the West
Division and ranked nationally in the top 15.
“The
two weekends off were nice but it was a long time between competitions
and I twe showed some of that rust. However, I am very happy with
how the team finished that match, in particular our defensive
adjustments after losing the third set. We have a tough schedule
for the next seven days with three more matches, but we are going
to make sure we only focus on a single match at a time.”
Head Coach Lionel Woods said after the match.
Ottawa
will host the Guelph Gryphons Sunday, November 20th, at 2:00 pm.
