GEE-GEES
CONTINUE THEIR MARCH TO PLAYOFFS WITH IMPRESSIVE 3-0 WIN
The
Gee-Gees volleyball team continues to prepare for their playoff
run with an impressive 3-0 win over the visiting Royal Military
College Paladins (25-12, 25-11, 25-14). The win keeps the Gee-Gees
four points ahead of third place York, and also allows them to
claim home court advantage for the first round of the playoffs
with a win over the University of Toronto Varsity Blues tomorrow
evening at Montpetit Hall.
“I
think the team played an outstanding match tonight. They were
very disciplined in their execution and every single player that
stepped on the floor committed to helping us win the match. It
was a good match to help us prepare for tomorrow night’s
showdown with Toronto.” Head Coach Lionel Woods said after
the match.
The
Gees finish their regular season tomorrow night, Saturday, February
11 at 6:30 pm against the Varsity Blues at Montpetit Hall. The
match will be the final regular season home game for senior team
captains, Manon Ouellette and Melissa Maddocks.
