Gee-Gees Post Straight Set Victory at Home Against the Ryerson Rams

Women’s volleyball (7-2 OUA, 11-7 overall): Hosted Ryerson (3-7) Saturday, November 24, 2:00 p.m. at Montpetit Hall:

GAME STORY: Christine Lamey had 14 kills, 6 digs, and tallied 19 earned points as the uOttawa Gee-Gees bent but didn’t break in a three-game sweep of Ryerson Saturday afternoon. Lamey, a fifth-year Ottawa native, currently ranks #1 in Canada with 4.91 points per game earned (139 kills, 12 aces, 10 stuff blocks in 33 sets played).

The straight set victory for uOttawa (25-20, 25-20, 25-21) gives the Gee-Gees a 7-2 conference record to keep pace with Toronto atop the OUA east. Lindsay Franco had six kills for Ryerson, which fell to 3-7. The Gee-Gees host Queen's (2-6) Friday, November 30, 7:00 p.m., and RMC (0-10) Saturday, December 1, 2:00 p.m. at Montpetit Hall.
