Sports Services honoured 142 uOttawa Academic all-Canadians at
breakfast Friday morning, Sept. 19. Gee-Gees football legend Dr.
Brien Benoit and uOttawa Vice-President Academic and Provost Robert
Major spoke to a gifted group from 29 varsity and club sports
and programs which achieved a grade-point-average of 80 per cent
or better in fulltime studies in 2007-08. Honourees included 52
Gee-Gees from a combined 12 men‘s and women’s varsity
teams and 89 student-athletes from 16 club sports and programs.
Three Gee-Gees Volleyball players were honoured from the
2007-08 squad as Academic All Canadians; Congratulations to Karine
Gagnon, Ariane Thibault and Kirsten Brouse.
